Project Details
GPH Ispat Limited has intended to extend the existing plant on 30 acres land at Uttar Machidda village in 7 no. Kumira Union at Sitakunda Upazila under Chittagong district having production capacity of 850 kilo ton Billet, Rod 450 kilo ton, Bar 415 kilo ton, Rebar 440 kilo ton, Angles 40 kilo ton, Channels 40 kilo tpn, IPE/IPN 30 kilo ton, H-Beams 30 kilo ton, Flats 20 kilo ton per year. The plant will require 80 MW electricity /day and 60,000 m3 gas/day. The main process involved in billet making is Collection of scrap, charging scrap with additives, melting and refining melted charge, Casting of billets in the continuous casting machine and finally cooling, cutting and storage of finished billets. The plant will adopt electric arc furnace.
